Cutting Master 5 not working with Illustrator 2026

Was the Cutting Master 5 plugin working with Adobe Illustrator 2025? If so, you’ll need to download/install it via the Creative Cloud desktop app. On the Adobe Illustrator app tile click the three dots icon and choose “other versions” to get access to version 2025 builds.

What Graphtec cutting plotter model do you have? The latest version of Cutting Master 5 (1.10.36) only works with newer cutting plotter models. We have a couple different Graphtec units at my workplace, but we control them using either Flexi or Onyx Thrive. We would have to use either version 1.7.76 or 1.6.15 if we wanted to use the Cutting Master plugin; that would mean either installing it in an older build of Illustrator or installing it in CorelDRAW.

I am afraid you will have to use an older version to send it with.

Have you kept an earlier version that can, maybe the one you have used for it before?

If not, I believe the best way is to get that version back.

If it is older than what is still available, I hope you can get it with the help of our Adobe friends.

The software that comes with your cutter should allow you to import vector files for cutting. We use a Graphtec and use the software that came with it. We import eps files, but dxf and pdf are also vector options. You would have to check to see what works with your cutter’s software. Hopefully this is a workaround solution for you.
