Illustrator 23.0.1 crashing with memory issue.

Working with Illustrator 23.0.1

Just took the computer out of the box and I can't get anything to open in illustrator without it crashing for a memory issue.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Updating. restarting.

it was using 120+ GB of memory to open a 2.5MB file when I looked on the activity monitor

What is the issue here

If this is a brand new computer with a clean install of Illustrator then it sounds like there may be a problem with the computer. I would suggest contacting Apple Customer support or possibly bringing it to one of Apple's Store's Genius Bars for testing.

Is the graphic styles panel open? Please close it.

Is a printer attached and turned on? If not, connect one, set it up as the default printer and turn it on.
