Illustrator 27.7 Image Trace Doesn't Work

First of all, every time I restart/reinstall illustrator nothing changes. I can't get the image trace window to open. It's hard to explain because It's so literal. Image trace is collapsed in my tool bar and I go to expand the window and it either disappears or doesnt respond. I can't even post a picture because there is nothing happening. Then, if I can finesse the window to expand, WHAT IS THIS NEW IMAGE TRACE?????? 
It doesn't work as well as the old image trace. I assume the only cure for this is get a legacy version of illustrator. Adobe, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Thank you for letting me scream into the abyss. I can't do my as well with this watered down weirdo version of image trace. It feels like someone tried to dumb it down for people who don't know what they're doing , but instead ruined it for everyone. Added a screenshot anyways just for you. I love you. bye.
