Illustrator (27.9) crashes on launch (possibly to do with with Wacom I no longer have)
Hope someone can help...
I'm running Illustrator 27.9 on Mac OS Ventura 13.5.2
Since upgrading to Ventura, Illustrator now crashes during the final stages of launch (it reaches the stages where it shows you your list of recently opened files - them shuts down).
When I send the crash report it tells me it DOES have a solution or workaround (which is a rare thing) ... and it sends me to the support page about updating or uninstalling old Wacom drivers. (I used to have a Wacom tablet, like, 10 years ago...)
One of the first things it instructs you to do is find/open your Wacom Utility file and uninstall all Wacom files/drivers. As soon as I tried to launch the Wacom Utility deep down in my applications folder my Mac stopped me in no uncertain terms that opening this Utility will "damage you computer"... so I didn't feel I could continue down that route.
Another route led me to using "Funter" to locate all Wacom related files and trash them.
This I have done, restarted my Mac.
Ilustrator still crashing on launch.
If anyone has a solution I'd be very, very grateful x
Thank you.
