Illustrator 28.2 // Import problem

Hi Everyone, I use Illustrator 28.2 on Mac Sonoma 14.3. I need to import some PNG from a USB key but the software doesn't want to find it.  when I do: import file. I type the name of one of the 2000 images that I have on my USB key but the search does not happen automatically. I can recover the image but only manually. (It worked very well before) 😞

Hello @angie_need you,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind allowing Full-Disk Access for Illustrator under preferences (https://kb.synology.com/en-us/C2/tutorial/How_to_enable_Full_Disk_Access_on_a_Mac) and then relaunching Illustrator to check if it helps?

Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello Anubhav,
I didn't find C2 Backup, i am on sonoma and i gave access to com.abode.acc.installer. (idk if it was a good idea)
I tried and the image appear and desappear almost instantly. I also used 'utilitaire de disque' to clean Harddisk and the Key USB.
Thank you
angie

When you first copy the file to your harddisk, does it then work?

There you have your answer. Illustrator has an issue with thumb drives, but also your thumb drive might have an issue in itself.
