Question

Illustrator 28.6 on Win 10 freezes on splash screen (Initializing...)

Hi everyone!

Today I noticed that I can't start my Illustrator on Win 10. Last version - 28.6. Fully updated. Yesterday it was closed, and today it can't to start. I even tried to remove all cloud application + Creadive Cloud Desktop, and then re-installed everything back. The same story - "Initializing...". I even tried to install previous versions. Nothing helped.  Has anyone had similar problems?

Thanks!

Hello @Tetiana339053188s0d,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Is Illustrator stuck on Initializing plugins? If so, kindly try the suggestions in this help article (https://adobe.ly/3TiI6u3) and let us know if they help.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello @Anubhav M ,

Thank you for your response. No. It's in the moment when the splash screen just displayed, and I see only the "Initializing... " message. Nothing else. The Illustrator process takes about 30% of CPU load, and nothing changed 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15... I'm already tried the method with cc-cleaner tool, and removed all the Creative cloud applications.

Nothing helped.

Hello @Tetiana339053188s0d,

Thanks for confirming. Would you mind trying the following steps to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and checking if it helps:

- Close all Adobe apps

- Uninstall all currently installed Microsoft Visual C Redistributable packages and reboot the computer

- Install the latest Microsoft Visual C Redistributable package from here: (https://adobe.ly/3SSANbW)

- Relaunch Illustrator

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
