Illustrator 29 on macOS 15.0.1 crashing when mac sleeps and autosave not working

Running Illustrator 29 on M1 Macbookpro (64gbram, OS15.0.1) Illustrator crashes sometimes when my mac sleeps and doesn't autosave or recover most documents. Having to remember to save every 5 mintes and close everything properly feels like adobe a decade ago. For now I've gone back to 28, which is always a shame.

No app will reliably automatically save your documents.

 

So it's always good to take care of saving yourself.
