    Hi @peetu,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you experience this. Could you please confirm the OS details you're using? I tried testing this on my end on Windows 11 with Adobe Illustrator 30.3, but I wasn't able to reproduce the same behavior. It would really help if you could share a short screen recording showing the full workflow, from launching Illustrator to opening the file, so I can better understand what's happening on your end.

In the meantime, please try renaming the CEP folder to CEP.old from the following location:
    Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe

If that doesn't help, please rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following locations:
    Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe

Let me know how it goes after trying this and share your observations, I'll be happy to help further based on your update.

Sorry, can’t share recording just now. I uninstalled 30.3. and installed back version 30.2.1. I’ve been pressed this week and will be next week. Might try to install again and see will it run correctly. If not shall try your guides above.

My os is macOS Sequoia 15.7.3 on MacStuodio M2Max. Plugins installed: Extensis Connect 1.0.0 Astute Graphics (many of them and updated), Fontself Maker 3.5.17 and Script Panel 1.0.2.

I tried to delete Ai settings on '/Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator 30'. Also '/Users/user/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 30 Settings'. Didn’t worked.

BTW, there was peculiar button “Upgrade” button on CC Desktop app for version 30.3. Now there is a “Update” button.

On Workspaces I collected panels that were best for my workflow and saved a new. When picking that saved actual workspace was a default. Even after resettings.

That would be acceptable but when opening an old file, it was visible only on Home as an “icon”. It was bottom on Window menu, but couldn’t get it open to edit.

I could send screen recording after I have installed it again and if problems exits.

    Thank You for your answer

    Hi @peetu,

Thanks for sharing all the details, really helpful. I understand how important it is to have things working smoothly, especially when you’re on a tight schedule.

Since this is working fine on 30.2.1 and appears specific to 30.3, it does seem like version-specific behavior. Whenever you get a chance to reinstall 30.3, please try testing by temporarily disabling the third party plugins or booting macOS in Safe Mode and then checking if the issue persists. You can refer to this guide:

Let me know how it goes once you’re able to test again, and I’ll be happy to assist further based on your update.
