Question

Illustrator 4 - saving on external drive problem

Hoping someone can help me on this.  On one of our computers (iMAC Intel Core Duo, Version 10.6.8) we are still running Illustrator CS4 for our repeat jobs. We have a MYBOOKWORLD disk that is connected on the network, this is where we keep all our jobs.

We moved and installed a new network, and a new server, and the MYBOOKWORLD is still on the network.  Other than having changed the IP address of MYBOOKWOLRD, nothing has changed.  And, we do not have any problems with all our other Macs and PCs.

Suddenly, we cannot save on MYBOOKWORLD, or new server.  We can save on the computer itself though.

The computer has acces to both the MYBOOKWORLD and new sever.  We simply cannot save from Adobe applications.

I called Adobe and the guy could not help other than telling to re-install Illustrator. Or try to find help on the forum - since this was too old of a version.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

Illustrator has issues writing directly to and reading directly from servers. Has always had and there's a technote about it.

Can you first download those files and then open them?
