Based on your short description the issue is rather incomprehensible.

Can you clarify and explain step by step what you are actually doing? Also, you may refine it by providing some screenshots that show the problem.

Hola, claro,

Thanks for the clarification and the screenshots. Please understand that it would help if you could provide a sample Illustrator file, but based on the information you provided, a couple of general recommendations:

  • In case you have not tried it yet, try to move a copy of the file to your local drive and see what happens when you open it from there.
  • Your first screenshot indicates that Illustrator has a hard time to process a raster effect (gaussian blur). You'd have to find out if that effect is used excessively in that specific document. Also, you'd have to check the Document Raster Effect settings (see Effect menu) and decrease the ppi settings if necessary. And of course you may check if the raster effect is required at all (in doubt, try to remove it completely).
  • Your second screenshot shows a typical warning message that indicates that Illustrator is not able to render the rather complex content of the document anymore. And that's the preliminary stage of what is happening in your last screenshot.
  • In your last screenshot you can see that Illustrator is at least so kind to show the illustration in outline mode (that means you only see the paths / edges, but no other appearance attributes).

There is no instant way to solve this issue because there may be many diverse parameters that can influence the process.

I often see that behaviour when working with insanely complex maps that were created in some other applications and I can also provoke it by setting up very complex native Illustrator documents.

If you like, you could share a sample Illustrator file, so one may inspect your issue closer.
