Question

Illustrator actions broken every time I close the app.

My typical workflow for exporting logos in many different formats is to create an action that exports the artboards and saves them as JPG, PDF, EPS, and PNG all within the same action. The last part of the action closes the open document that has saved the various formats. I have done this for years and only in the last 6 months or so has this process been broken. If I open Illustrator and create the action I was talking about and continue working, everything runs and functions properly. If the computer goes to sleep or if I come back to it in the next day, the actions break and will no longer connect and export the same way. I am left having to delete the broken action, recreate the action all over, and then continue my work. The file export destinations are set to the general desktop and not subfolders, so there isn't a broken pathway. It should simply export the open document into the various formats and then close the file. It works perfectly until the computer sleeps or reboots. So confusing and frustrating. It is as if the computer has amnesia and forgets anything having to do with actions.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any answers out there?

Yep, I have the same problem. There may be a problem in allowing reading / writing of attributes in AppData. It might be worth trying earlier versions of Ai.

By the way, not only the settings of the shortcuts are reset. Ai CC 2019 behaves strangely
