Illustrator app Unusable

Hi,

I have recently downloaded the Illustrator app on my iPad Pro 11 2nd Gen 128GB, it has only used about 60GB of the memory used, so plenty of space remaining.

The app keeps crashing after a few minutes of being open, I downloaded a pattern file from Fresco to do a repeat pattern. Everytime I go to make it into a pattern it stalls, takes about 2 minutes to processs my request and then crashes. This is the same when doing other actions as well, although I do manage a couple of clicks before it crashes on me.

I have re installed the app, checked all my memory etc on the iPad and its still doing it. I have also been trying out Affinity Designer which runs with no problems at all on the same file from Fresco so I am sure its not my device causing the issues.

I would like to stick with Illustrator but it us completely unusable.
