Question

Illustrator Beta missing from Microsoft Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X Series processors

Sometime in the last couple of months the beta for Illustrator is no longer available to ARM64 devices. If you previously had it installed, it can no longer be updated and if you happen to remove it, you can't re-install it. There was zero communication about this change, so I would appreciate some insight as to when we can expect it back.

Hello everyone,

Please try using this link (https://creativecloud.adobe.com/campaign/creative-cloud?workflow=route-to-path&route-path=/apps/beta-apps) to download Illustrator (beta) for Microsoft Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X Series processors and let us know if it helps.

If you are unable to find the Beta tab in Creative Cloud, please try these steps: (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/known-and-fixed-issues/beta-apps-unavailable-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html).

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

This software should NOT be in beta anymore. And we shouldn’t have to keep manually updating the software when the beta “expires.” This should all be automatic at this point.

Hello everyone,

The latest Illustrator Beta Build 30.7.14 is now available to download from the Creative Cloud Desktop app. Please install the latest Illustrator (beta) and let us know how it goes.

I am not able to see it, it only points to the web app.  I have uninstalled, deleted preferences and reinstalled the Creative Cloud App.

Hello @BrightmanRandy_

Sorry for the late response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, please try the following steps and let us know how it goes:

  • Close all Adobe applications
  • Remove the Creative Cloud Desktop application, CCLibrary, and CoreSync using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html)
  • Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html)

Looking forward to hearing from you.

We also have this issue on all our snapdragon arm devices. Illustrator has disappeared from all of them under the beta tab.

Hopefully it means a proper full release is coming.

Complementing some infos:

Yes, I have tried uninstalling the CC Desktop App and then reinstalling it. As you can see in the printscreen below, Illustrator only appears when you type it’s name on the search bar, but only the web version.

@Anubhav M did Adobe abandoned Window ARM, just like Linux. Dont give us hope. Just tell us the truth. I just ready to sell my Window ARM laptop and trade in with MacBook if Adobe abandoned Illustrator Window ARM.

@practical_portfolio90a1 trade in the PC and get the MacBook Pro. Don’t look back! Get the MAC!

FYI, if you are a student, or know someone is, you could use the Apple Education site and save a few more bucks as well. I just bought myself a new MacBook Pro and also received a $210 Apple credit on top of the education price as well! You do need to verify with the school email address though!

The Illustrator has a Beta version for Windows ARM Copilot+Pcs, wich is accessed trhough the Beta tab on Creative Cloud Desktop. But now, out of a sudden, the app is gone. There’s only Illustrator for web avaible. Please, I need an answer about it as soon as possible, since I am currently unable to work.

It’s been long enough. When are we going to get the official, non-Beta release of Illustrator on ARM?

Hello @863771,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you confirm the version of the OS installed on your device, your machine specs (CPU/GPU/Memory) and a screenshot of the error message when trying to install Illustrator, so I can check this with the team?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there - I am running Windows 11 25H2 and I am using a Snapdragon X Elite with the X1-85 Adreno GPU and 32GB RAM. Keep in mind there is NO error you just can't see it in Creative Cloud Desktop any more - it's gone.

Hi @863771,

Thanks for confirming those details. I reached out to the product team, and they’re currently checking this. They've asked whether you're able to see the Beta apps tab in the Creative Cloud Desktop app at all, or if it's just that the Illustrator Beta build doesn't appear there. Could you please confirm that for us?

Looking forward to the update.

Abhishek
