Hi, I'm experiencing this prob on and off.

The bounding box of some objects doesn't match with the actual size of it.

(Not every objects but some.)

I wrote the action I've already tried below.

1. I saved and reopen the file.

2. I changed the view mode.

3. I tried ungroup it. it was just one single object.

4. I tured off the illustrator and restarted.

5. I cut and paste the objects in a new layer or even new document.

it happens quite often which is super annoying.

please help!!

Hi Jacob, Thank you for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, there was nothing I could find in the Appearance panel.

But actually I found the solution.

Reset Bounding Box did optimized the size of the bounding box!

the shortcut is I newly assigned for it btw

Thank you again! 🙂

Amilie,

Maybe you have something to the far left included in your object.

You can have a look into the Appearance panel, which may hold a surprise, such as a Compound Path where the left part has a width of 0.

You can also have a look at the artwork in Outline View (hold Ctrl/Cmd and press Y to toggle), and see what it can reveal to the far left when you select/deselect.
