"Illustrator bug (latest version): I can't copy/paste smart objects into Photoshop or import my files into InDesign (the rendering is invisible). Only transferring to a new .ai file seems to 'fix' the content. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the connection between Adobe software recently?"

    Hi @Murielle Mazenot,

Thanks for sharing the details, and I’m sorry you’re running into this. Just to confirm, when you mention the “latest version,” are you currently on Illustrator 30.2.1? It would also be helpful to know which operating system version you’re using.

I tested copying and pasting Smart Objects from Illustrator into Photoshop, as well as placing the same content into InDesign, and the rendering worked correctly on my end. Since the content appears invisible for you, could you please share screenshots of what you see in Illustrator, then how it appears in Photoshop, and also in InDesign? That will help us better understand where the rendering is breaking.

As a quick check, please try disabling GPU Performance in Illustrator from Preferences, then restart Illustrator and test the workflow again. This can sometimes resolve display-related issues between Adobe apps.

If the issue still persists, a short screen recording showing the full workflow from Illustrator to Photoshop or InDesign would be very helpful so I can investigate this further with the team.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Abhishek
