illustrator can't open .ai files (or .eps) with double click

Question

Hello there, I hope you can help me...

I red about this problem here....but still...

illustrator can't open .ai files (or .eps) with double click also from Adobe Bridge (but other Adobe files is opening with no problem - Photoshop and InDesign)

I latterly have to drag the file in the already open window of illustrator so he can load it....... reinstalled Illustrator and it work, but just for a few hours and now don`t work again! Is this a problem in Illustrator or..?

I'm also having this exact issue along with some other problems. It's extremely frustrating. Adobe charges me every month for Creative Cloud, but their software barely works. I'm running Windows 10 on a system barely a year old with everything updated. I tried reinstalling Illustrator and same story as you - worked a bit then not. I can't open files. GPU Performance doesn't work when enabled. And sometimes the program completely locks up and I can't get any work done. It's ridiculous.
