Illustrator CC 2017 not working correctly with Surface Pro 4.

Since my latest update to Illustrator CC 21.2.0 my surface pro pen has been showing major issues.  Illustrator only registers every other brush stroke or just ignores my strokes entirely. However Photoshop works like a charm.  My problem is only happening in Illustrator.   Nothing is consistent.  I own two surface pro 4 pens and a brand a surface pro pen. Each give me the same results.

    Sometimes removing the Ntrig driver solved this. But looks like it doesn't do that for everyone. Please see here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2289763
