I just updated my OS to High Sierra and when I add type to my artboard (converted to outlines or otherwise) and save the document application crashes. Any patches for this?

Do you use font management? If so, which?

Which font is that? Does it happen with all fonts?

So far you're the first one to report this, so it's rather not a generic issue.

In case you can, you might also consider going back to Sierra or whatever you came from.

No, I just used the system font Myriad Pro Semibold and selected it from the type panel. I converted the text to outlines too, just to see if it would have an impact and got the same results. It's odd though, I'm working with a pre-existing file. Aside from the text change, all I did was replace the images and it saves just fine, but when I add that outlined text (which is actually off the artboard, it's just a short note for the printer saying "Artwork built at 50%") the app crashes.

    A message from the printer?

Can you reassign your printer as the default printer?

Illustrator is a little bit prissy about printers. It needs to have a default printer assigned. And maybe when updating the system messed this up.
