Illustrator CC 2018 Object selection behind text frame not possible

Situation:
1. Text with manually wrapped

2. Text frame stretched

3. second Object behind Text frame
(!!! IMPORTANT Object right from text !!! If Object below wrapped text but within the area of the 
Text frame it behaves like in CC 2017).
if you hover over the object with the selection tool it wont recognize there is an object behind the text frame.

Is the Object behind the text frame but below the wrapped text Illustrator CC 2018 behaves like you are used to in CC 2017.
A klick into the white area below the wrapped text but within the text frame deselects the text frame.
The selection tool recognizes the Object below even if the textframe is active and marks the object in the color of the layer.

Even if here, like you can see in the vectorized view, the object is behind the textframe.

How can this behavior been modified so that CC 2018 does it the same way like in CC 2017 and just deselects the text frame if i klick beside the text with the selection tool.
