Illustrator CC 2018 reports error loading ParticleSystem.aip and ToolSelector.aip

When launching Illustrator CC 2018, I receive an error loading plugins (ParticleSystem.aip and ToolSelector.aip). I uninstalled Illustrator (restarted), ran Creative Cloud Cleaner (restarted) and reinstalled all of Creative Cloud. When launching Illustrator, I still get the same error message. Any suggestions?
