Illustrator CC 2018 won't open

I'm running on a Mac, and when I try to launch Illustrator CC 2018, it won't open. I get the following dialog box and when I choose "Run Diagnostics," Illustrator cannot find a problem.

This cycle repeats every time I open Illustrator.

Just downloaded Adobe CC on Windows and cannot open Illustrator or InDesign either. Below is the crash report that I received multiple times. Any solutions out there? Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, etc. all open no problem!

Please create a new thread. This one is about Mac OS High Sierra. You have Windows.

    Which system are you on?

    Did it ever work?

Is this a fresh installation? Or did you update?

Yes, it did work in the past. I am on a Macbook Pro. Last week I updated my OS to High Sierra 13.13.3, but I wasn't using Illustrator until today, so I didn't notice that it wouldn't open. So it could be that. The first thing I tried today was uninstalling and re-installing Illustrator, but that didn't work. Then just a few minutes ago I noticed that there was another supplemental update to High Sierra 13.13.3. The description of the update, stated that this update fixes an issue where using certain character sequences could cause apps to crash. I hoped that updating would be the solution.

So I updated the OS, but unfortunately, Illustrator still didn't open. If my OS is the problem, hopefully there will another update coming. I just thought maybe someone on this forum may have had a similar experience, and knew if it was an Adobe or Apple issue.

There are indeed a couple of issues with High Sierra. Up to a point where it can't be advised to use it at all.

You could still try if resetting the OOBE folder helps: Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't open or shows a spinning progress wheel
