Illustrator CC 2019 & 2020 tools lagging

I Previously had Illustrator CC 2019 and 2020 installed. Both started to act buggy. Type toold wasn't properly highlighting. Today, selction was random and things moved around as if selected, Type tool took forever to select , wouldn't properly highlight and even when I guessed at where the type cursor was, it took forever to type a letter. Uninstalled both versions and reinstalled 2020. What's going on here? Illustrator CC is the only program acting buggy.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing some more information like:

1. Version of OS.

2. Is this happening on just 1 file or on all the files?

3. Do you save files locally or on a network?

4. Have you tried resetting the preferences of Illustrator? (If not, please do. You may follow the steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html#setting_illustrator_preferences )
**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

 

All this information will help us understand the issue better and work accordingly.
