Illustrator CC 2020 (24.1) Drop shadow not working/ not blurring correctly

Just updated to v24.1 and my drop shadows are now rendering as solid grey boxes i.e. no blur on them. See 2019 version compared to 2020 version. Is this a bug?

If so, maybe reset your Preferences?
