illustrator cc 2026 layers panel showing thumbnail previews for the wrong items. For instance a transparent rectangle is showing the thumbnail for a qr code. A text box is showing the thumbnail of a transparent rectangle etc.

Also, I notice that since the latest updates, if I save a file with all the layer groups collapsed, this changes upon reopening, which it never used to do.

Is it possible to look on TWIST layer in appearance panel? Is it a type object?

Theres ared box behind it, but its not really relevant. lots of items are showing the thumbnails for other objects. i have logos showing thumbnails for barcodes or text etc. I just showed this example as I didnt want to show the full artwork for NDA purposes, but its happening on a lot of files in the latest release of illustrator

If you look in my layers panel, you can see the rectangle (that should have the box as a thumbnail) has a qr code as a thumbnail.
