Illustrator CC2018 slow performance/lag on macOS 10.14.6

I'm using Illustrator past 2-3 years regularly for designing.
Few days back my Illustrator 2015 started acting weird like not displaying anything on the dialog box or the dropdowns, it went blank (as shown in photos)

So, I uninstalled and installed the 2018 version and it STILL doing the same thing, moreover it starts freezing my mac and I have to log out or shut down and start again.
I used to think it's happening because I use Blend or 3D options but it happens in simple things like using type text option!

Please help me, I need to work!

Edited: I have MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017), Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 and Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB
OS: 10.14.6

Thank you for your reply!
I upgraded my Mac OS to Catalina, now the Illustrator is working fine!
But I still don't know why Illustrator 2015 was causing trouble suddenly.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I'd recommend using latest version of Adobe Illustrator to get the better performance and stability.
You may also try turning off GPU Performance under Preferences > Performance and see if it helps you out.
Let us know how it goes.
