Illustrator CC2020 crashing on Windows 10

Why is it that CC likes to crash SOOOOOO MUCH??!

Like even when i'm working on small files and boom, my illustrator locks up and I have to force quit.

I've been using illustrator for almost 15 years, and have never had more random issues than now. My patience with it is wearing thin. Fix the CC bugs or go back to F****** desktop versions. The selfish nature of this business decision is bad enough on its own; but the fact that the CC software is so consistintly inconsistent is really a problem.

Do you found any solution?
Thanks!

Not 100% but turning off GPU Performance seemed to help. The problem to me goes back to the subscription based model that Adobe is pushing on us. They got selfish and wanted to make more money on the subscrpition based model - and the end users are feeling the effects of this with sub par software, it's a real shame - ADOBE LOST THEIR SOUL. I have a super old desktop version on my home computer that i prefer to use. Sure, there have been some great advances in the software over the last few years - but thats all mute if the software is so consistently inconsistent and crashing on ppl for a littany of reasons. I've lost dozens of hours worth of work since the new CC 2020 update, i know i know - save more often, hard to remember sometimes when you're in the zone right? Apparently the keynote speakers casually joked about the bugs at the Adobe MAX conference - HHVF --__--

Hi Arnold,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing some more information like:
1. Version of OS and Illustrator.
2. Is it happening with a specific file or with all the files? Is it happening with a specific action?
3. Do you save files locally or on a network?
4. Have you tried resetting preferences? (If not, please try doing that. You may follow the steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html#setting_illustrator_preferences)

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

All this information will help us understand the issue and work accordingly. Looking forward to your response.

Regards,
Ashutosh

Thanks for providing all the information. You may try following things:
1. Make sure you have your Windows and Graphics Card driver up-to-date to the latest version.

2. Try turning off GPU Performance under Edit > Preferences > Performance.

3. Try disabling the 3rd party plugins.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks.
