Illustrator colour profile / settings advice
I work as a brand identity designer and 100% of my work these days is screen based. I design on screen, present on screen, deliver a concept and that's my job done, i no longer get involved in the production of live artwork so have no need to assign profiles for printing etc.
I've just started using a new MacBook Pro M2 Max with a fresh install of Adobe CC and within a matter of days i've started running into colour profile / colour sync issues in illustrator. Colour profile warnings when importing images, colours suddenly changing and becoming overly bright and saturated on screen etc. It's really slowing down my workflow when i was hoping the new Mac would speed things up. As far as i know i haven't changed any settings from whatever the defaults were on install, but perhaps that's part of the issue?
Can anyone talk me through the basics of setting up a Mac, Adobe CC and ultimately Illustrator to ensure colours behave themselves and remain consistent?
Is there a default colour profile i should be using? If so where do i need to change it as there's a lot of colour settings within illustrator and i don't know where to begin. Do i really need to download Bridge to manage colour across Adobe apps if all i'm after is a very basic screen profile? Essentially how do i set up colours properly if the default settings aren't behaving?
Thanks.
