Question

Illustrator compatibility problem with EZCAD

Hi,

I used Illustrator earlier this year, to produce simple black icons (SVG) [on laptop A] for then importing to EZCAD [on laptop B], for laser marking keyring with those icons.

It all worked perfectly.

Then yesterday, a few months after the original batch of icons, I wanted to create one more icon. This time I opted for a trail version of Illustrator because my previous licence expired.

But this time, the perfectly good looking SVG icon from Illustrator just appears like a random line squiggle in EZCAD. Note that EZCAD software has not changed, the only variable here is Illustrator.

Has some recent Illustrator upgrade generated a compatbility issue? Are some features of the 'trial' verson of Illustrator restricted? Any ideas what could be causing this problem? Thanks.

Hello @robert37390909vekv,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind checking if this happens with all SVG files, and if there were any recent changes made to the software/OS? Also, try opening this SVG file in a different application to check if it opens correctly, and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Did you export it with the same "decimal" setting (for precision)?
