Illustrator crashes after installing plugin

Question

Hi,I tried to install the Illustrator Select Menu Mac plugin from https://rj-graffix.com/downloads/plugins/#toolshed, but every time I tried opening it crashed. I gave up and uninstalled it, (deleted all the crash reports unfortunately) but now I'm getting problems with text (and nothing else that I've found so far). Often, I cannot select the text inside a text box and it creates a new text box I didn't want. All my text is on one layer, so I was able to select all and change font - this seemed to work for a while, but then starts again. And now I see that once I've created a text box, it has removed all resize handles from the box, and again creates new text boxes!Illustrator 2022macOS Catalina v 10.15.7MacBook Pro 16inch 2019What do I do?Do I have to completely reinstall Illustrator?Thanks

Have you tried reaching out to Rick directly? He has a contact page in case you experience crashes using his plugins.Also, it lists AI CC 2019 as the latest version...https://rj-graffix.com/contact/
