Illustrator crashes after opening an eps file

Hi,
I'm having trouble opening eps files in Illustrator on Windows 10. I can open the software and create a new file, but every time I try to add an eps file or open it directly from a folder, it crashes and prompts me to submit the report (the solution should be one of the folllowing, it says).

I've  tried updating the program, reinstalling it, removing preferences, updating the GPU and tablet drivers. Unfortunatelly, none of this helped. I would really appreciate your help.
