Question

Illustrator crashes (even with no error message) when I use 3d effect

The program shut down immediately without any error messages.

I checked several conditions(and several solutions for similar problems like preferences setting, updating graphic driver, install-reinstall, etc) and found out the problem shows only when I applied the effect to the group that includes entire objects at once. But when I deselect some of them, It works properly. The objects are all simple shapes and not heavy at all. I have to apply the 3d effect to the entire objects, so this is very despairing for me.

I think my computer is fine enough to execute those 3d effects (Window 11 pro, GeForce RTX 3070, 32GB RAM)

Please understand that I can't attach the image because it's private work.

How many single paths are in that group?

WIthout seeing it, it's actually close to impossible to help you.

Hi!

The group contains 36 paths.
I already followed the same process for other files that had more complicated paths but this is the first time I've encountered this issue,

And how complicated are those paths?

Without actually seeing that file or having an idea of it, it will be close to impossible to figure it out.
