Illustrator crashes on launch after latest update (Error 18 020)

Question

Hi,After installing the latest update, Adobe Illustrator crashes immediately on launch with the following error message:"An unknown error has occurred (18 020). Adobe Illustrator will now quit."I’ve already tried restarting my computer and reinstalling Illustrator, but the issue persists.Running on Windows [insert your version, e.g., 10 or 11].Has anyone else experienced this after the recent update? Any ideas on how to fix it?Thanks in advance for your help!

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
