Illustrator crashes & optimization

For months I've had a major problem.
Illustrator crashes frequently on launch. Very frequently.Like many of us.

I've tried all the advices.

Clearing the cache. Deleting preferences. Cleaning permissions. Performing a clean install.

NOTHING.

I have an up-to-date MacBook Pro M1 Max. The problem isn't coming from there.

And then one day. A critical event. I saw the light. 90% of the time, the problem occurs when the MacBook Pro is running on battery.

I also have to make sure I don't have a second poer-eating application running in the background (Premiere, Firefox...).

Could Illustrator not be optimized enough?

The problem persists 10% of the time when it's plugged into the mains. And aside from advice and positive messages, there's no concrete solution—or at least the root problem isn't being addressed or even considered.

Have you noticed any difference in efficiency between battery and main power?

I noticed this when I took my laptop into the backyard to work, but at the time I thought it was because of the wifi, but when I went in closer to the wifi, I also connected back to power. Perhaps that is exactly it.

I’ve tried with Illustrator 29.0.0, 30.4.0 and the latest release.
I also confirm taht Illustrator has a Full Disk Access.

I will check to launch Illustrator from a new Admin account.Then check with Low Power Mode On and Off.
And I’ll be back to you pretty soon.

Regarding the crash report, I always use the email of my account for traceability.

I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with this for so long, and I appreciate you sharing the pattern you've observed regarding battery power.

To help isolate the issue further, could you please confirm the exact Illustrator version and macOS version you're using? I'd also recommend testing Illustrator by starting your Mac in Safe Mode. If Illustrator launches reliably there, it would suggest that a third-party process, driver, or login item may be interfering with Illustrator rather than the application itself.

Additionally, please create a new macOS administrator account and test Illustrator there to rule out a user profile-specific issue:

Could you also make sure Illustrator has Full Disk Access by going to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access?

Since you've noticed a difference between battery and AC power, could you also test Illustrator while running on battery with Low Power Mode both ON and OFF, and let us know whether the crashes occur only when Low Power Mode is enabled?

Finally, when Illustrator crashes, do you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog? If so, please submit the crash report and let me know the email address you used when submitting it so I can check the crash logs with the team.
