Hello

Illustrator keeps crashing when i close a document. probably about 70% of the time it crashes on closing

Also when loaded back up, the first file takes ages to load.

Here is the Crash Report : Process: Adobe Illustrator [12481] Path: /Appl - Pastebin.com

if anyone can help

Thanks

frustrating.

Happens to me a lot on MBP13 high sierra on adobe photoshop, illustrator and dreamweaver.

saving on desktop and saves ok.

if i close files/documents quickly - those apps more than often crash.

Same happens to me also in windows 10

never happens on any other app.

q: why should a network be a problem? if it saves, it saves. if it doesn't a dialog should pop up and let you save somewhere else.

Network is a problem because of this: Illustrator support for networks and removable media

well, this article is quite general, and certainly not helpful.

Since crashing adobe cc 2017/2018 happens sooo very often while files are not on SERVER, i think there should be an article that describes the possible reasons for some of the crashes (using the reports we send) and some troubleshooting instructions. or if i new the reasons, i'd have a clue to start avoiding it.

both laptops are new, very high specs, win10 / MacOS

i guess we'll wait for updates, hoping most bugs are fixed, hopefully before a new feature come out.

after at least 50 crashes i post once.

Crash reports in threads make them unusable. Please don't post Crash reports to threads. Upload them to pastebin and post a link in the forum.

Please tell us:

What's in the file?

Where do you save?

Any third party plugins?

Is a printer connected and turned on?

Are all your fonts checked and OK?

Do you use font management?

If you don't have a printer: set up a PDF printer.

If you save to a network: try saving to the harddisk instead.

Does this also happen when you don't save to the network, but to your harddisk instead?

It doesn't matter that it works for the others.
