Question

Illustrator Crashes when using Materials

All was normal until I installed new materials. I already deleted those materials, uninstalled and reinstalled, using the cleaning tool, and nothing.

I tried removing heavy materials, and nothing.

When removed the "missing" files, I could open the materials panel but couldn't use any.

I have 16 RAM and Intel i5 multicore. So everything on my computer looks okay.

1 GB of RAM is just the recommended minimum for using Illustrator. When working with 3D you usually need more. Particularly when working with demanding materials (they can be pretty heavy, my i7 Mac with 32 GB of RAM gets slowed down with that)

I have 16 RAM, not 1 😞

Yes, sorry. My 6 key hangs.

16 GB is not enough for 3D & materials.

Yes, I tried both before sharing my comment. Didn't help.
