Hello there,

I recently received an update that is causing Illustrator Saves to take FOREVER, 30 Minutes to an hour. or Worse, Crashing and getting a Blue Screen. Is anyone else having this problem. I used to be completely fine with saving and now I have this problem. I'm running Adobe Illustrator 2022 on a Windows 10 ASUS PC

Hi @Lauren22817379v3ux,

We are sorry to hear about your experience. I would like to know if the steps suggested above by @Mike_Gondek10189183 or updating to v26.0.3 as suggested by @lambiloon worked for you or not. If not, please share a few more details like:

  • Does this happen while saving a specific file or all?
  •  Where are you saving the files (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?
  • Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.
  • Does resetting Illustrator Preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) help to resolve the issue?
Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Kindly update the discussion if you still need assistance with it. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

Try reseting your OOBE.

OOBE RESET WIN

  • Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app  (100% you must do this)
  • C:\Users\<user folder>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

  • The AppData folder is hidden in Windows by default. See Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows for instructions to access it.
  • Delete all the files within the OOBE folder, but do not delete the folder itself.

  • Restart the computer and launch the Creative Cloud desktop app again.
