Illustrator creating a bunch of png.tmp$$ files

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind checking if the file(s) are saved on an external/network drive or a cloud-synced folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)? If yes, kindly try moving the files to a local directory, like the desktop, and share your observations.

I have seen that happen but I don't have an answer why it happens, sorry! It's a bit annoying, and sometimes you think if you delete them you may lose your real file!  🙂
