illustrator Creative Cloud hangs on open with Surface Pro 4

I am running Illustrator Creative Cloud on a Surface Pro 4 with an i7 processor and 16gig of RAM.  My OS is Windows 10 pro.

I am finding that often when I open Illustrator , the program just hangs, and I have to close it with the Windows task manager.  Here are the event viewer events:

Hi Anakingrownup,

Thanks for sharing the details and screenshots. If I get the issue, your Illustrator hangs up on your Surface Pro? Does it happens with specific file or workflow? Please reset the preferences and then check. For details see: How to set preferences in Illustrator
