Illustrator CS 2017 freezing/crashing

Hello! I am on a Windows 7 platform and my illustrator CS 2017 crashes, freezes and becomes unusable after I've used it for 5 minutes. This happens every time I open the program.

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating and even formatting the computer. Nothing has changed.

Any tips or anyone else who have had this problem and solved it?

Hi frilansi,

If I get the issue correctly, your Illustrator freezes as well as crashes randomly after sometime of usage? Did you try resetting the preferences? If not, please do and check. For details, see: How to set preferences in Illustrator
