Illustrator CS5 artboards not working

Hi, suddenly Illustrator CS5 artboard tool and window is not working anymore, I can't modify them in any way, size, orientation, etc. I wonder if any of you have had the same issue and how to resolve it.

    Please describe step by step what you are doing exactly.

    System Win 7, 64 bit

    The only thing I'm trying to do, is changing the artboard (size, orientation, whatever...) with the artboard options in the artboard "window" or do the same with the arboard tool, none of those work, worked before now it does not.
