Illustrator CS6 data recovery

my computer is Windows ThinkPad T540P, windows10. I am using Acrobat XPro. I am suffering from illustrator crashing now and then without saving my work. I am wondering how to do data recovery in Illustrator CS6???

    you should be saving your work with different names so you have more options than trying to recover data from a corrupted file.  eg, for a project name pj1, you might save as pj1_v001, pj1_v002 etc so you never loose more an 10-20 minutes worth of work.
