Illustrator CS6 hangs on start up in Mac OS X

Hi

I've been happily using this for a few years. Recently it stopped working. Now it won't open. It hangs on "Reading fonts" - always a different font. I've taken my Macbook Pro to Apple and had it all cleaned up and a new drive put in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all my adobe products. Nothing has helped. I'm on Mac OS X version 10.9.5.

PLEASE HELP!!!!  I'm not very techy I just love using these products.

Many thanks

Sue

THANK YOU Jacob Bugge! The cleaner didn't seem to clean anything but it worked. I am SO relieved. Thanks for your speedy reply.
