Illustrator does not save project

Hi!

I was trying to start a project in illustrator, but whatever I try it does not save or it takes a million years. I have tried redownloading, restarting a project. I have done everything. I even set my laptop back to factory settings. I have tried to work on it on another laptop and that does work, but on mine it is so slow and even if it does safe it takes way longer than normal. I have checked if I have enough storage and I do and for systemrequirements I even go way over.  Is there anyone who knows what to do or should I contact the sneller for warrants. Thanks in advance!

Which version, which system?

Exactly where do you save files?

How large are your usual files?

What's in the files?

Do you have a printer set up and turned on?

Is Save in background turned on in the preferences and does it get better when you turn it off?

Hello @annegien_2005,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
