Illustrator does not show missing fonts window when opening DWG

Hi,

Sorry for this oddly specific post, but I'm trying to open a DWG file from AutoCAD, I have installed all the necessary fonts in TTF format, using the default macOS font book.

All I want to do is to substitute the missing fonts with the ones I downloaded and added to Font Book. Unfortunately, Illustrator only shows a "Font Problems" window, that states:

romans.shx: Font not found on the system; missing font has been substituted.

When trying later, to use Type > Find Font, Illustrator doesn't show any fonts as missing.

I'm hoping there's an easy solution for this, thanks in advance.

Also FYI, I already tried resetting my preferences, and it did nothing.

INFO:

OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.4

Illustrator Version: 2020 24.0.3

Correct, thats why I am trying to replace them with the ttf version of the font, but there is no window that allows me to replace fonts on opening the document.

Yes, but because Illustrator doesn't support the resident font format, it can't detect their presence, so there's nothing to trigger a call to the substitution routine.

I would conclude that when it has been substituted on import, then there is no longer a missing font. Can you search for the substituted font?

I know that it replaces all the missing fonts with Myriad Pro, but this is a problem because there are multiple fonts that need to be replaced, and all of them are substitute with Myriad Pro.

The font format (shx) doesn't sound like something Illustrator does support.
