Illustrator Draw Inside Mode - not working with stroke profiles

Hi, 

I am using draw inside mode to shade but if I have a stroke profile or have used the width tool to adjust the stroke it reverts it back to a basic profile. Is there any way to keep stroke profiles using draw inside mode?

    It loses the width profile and you can make a feature request here:

    But you can use this workaround.
