Question

Illustrator dynamic number markers

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone knows how to show data order values instead of just the square data points when I make a Scatter Graph in Illustrator?

I have figured out how to customise the marker and change them to how I want them however I need to add an ordered number on top of each marker that corresponds to the dat set.

Does any one have any ideas how I could do this?

Thanks

Please show a sketch of what you want.

Please do also read this about your configuration options:

Hey Monika

Thanks for getting back to me.

Ok so I have managed to add the labels by using the method of creating a marker and adding numbers by adding %00 to them however I need the numbers on the blue circles to read from the order column (the third column along ranging from 1 to 15) on the screen shot - any ideas how to do this?

Thanks so much in advance

You can only put the table cell value itself into the graph point design. You cannot take it from another table cell.

You will have to either do it manually or try if different applications are able to do this.

Then generate the graph in whatever app is suitable and edit it in Illustrator if needed.
