Illustrator Effects All Greyed Out

After updating to Illustrator 2026, i noticed that all of the Illustrator effects are greyed out, and I have no clue how to get them active. This feature worked fine in previous versions. 

 

I am wanting to use to Warp Tool on the selected text to curve it. You'll see in the photos I select it as an object, no luck....i select it as text....no luck. 

Is this a bug, or did they change how warp tool works?

    Thanks for reaching out. Could you please confirm the macOS version you're using? Also, try manually resetting Illustrator preferences and then check if the issue persists. You can follow the steps here: Adobe HelpX or this quick video guide: YouTube.

    I am seeing this too with the Extensions menu greyed out, I have managed to get them back in GA build by re-adding one from the Exchange but not in Beta. GA build 30.0 and Beta is 30.1. Mac OS 26.1.
