illustrator export eps separate artboards but thumbnail shows all artboards

As I am creating a logo package, I'm trying to save all my artboards as separate .eps files. But when I do so, the thumbnail image of each file shows all artboards as oppose to the artboard in question. In the file is however, the correct image from the artboard. I would like the thumbnail to be a more accurate representation of the file. Is there a workaround for this?
