Question

ILLUSTRATOR EXPORT FOR SCREENS DIMENSIONS

I work in a fast paced environment and often I'll need to grab some vector stock, export it for screens then bring it into photoshop. only to see it's tiny. I know you can scale it up in the export screens but I'd just like in the export for screens dialogue it to tell you how big it is going to be, so I can improve effiecincy. Also I know you can see the size of the art board on the canvas.

The Illustrator-based artwork is probably coming into Photoshop tiny because of differences in size/resolution settings between the different documents.

Have you tried copying and pasting the vector art directly from Illustrator to Photoshop? You can paste the art as a smart object, paste it as pixels or paste it as raw AICB paths (that are unfilled) that reside in Photoshop's Paths palette. You can quickly free-transform the art to the desired size in the Photoshop document. If the Illustrator document and Photoshop document both have the document size settings the art should paste without needing to scale it up or down in size.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do know of that work flow. It'd just be nice to know how big it would be in that dialogue box for if i wanted to bring it into after effects too.

In the case of After Effects, it's best to copy your Illustrator-based artwork into an Illustrator file that is tailored to the size of your After Effects project. The video-oriented document presets in Illustrator are pretty good for this. The various elements can be sized and positioned as desired. In After Effects you can import the File, importing it as a Composition-Retain Layer Size.
