Illustrator fai to round some corners (fails to convert anchor points in corners)

Why sometimes the rounding function of the corner do not appear?

I already tried the standard suggestions (select one single point, convert from achor to corner, convert the point to smooth and then to corner again).

(I am using Mac Os Monterey 12.5.1, Illustrator 26.5 (2022) )

The rounding function of the corner will appear only if the anchor point is not already rounded. Sometimes an anchor point can be slightly rounded but appear to be a straight corner point.

Check under the View menu to make sure that 'Show Corner Widget" is chosen instead of 'Hide Corner Widget'.

In addition to what @Ton Frederiks said, what happens if you try the (convert) anchor point tool itself? Does that work?

Did you select that point with the Direct Selection tool?

Did you move the point to check if there are not 2 points stacked on top of each other?
